AN AUTHOR’S EVENING WITH HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR, DR. EVA OLSSON

Dr. Olsson, author of Unlocking the Doors: A Woman’s Struggle against Intolerance and Remembering Forever: A Journey of Darkness and Light, will present her work at The Village Square (1198 Vankoughnet Rd.) on Thursday, October 3 beginning at 7:00 p.m. Following the presentation, there will be a Q & A period as well as refreshments. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the author. (Cost: $2.00 and donation)

In 1924, Olsson was born in Hungary into a poor family of Hassidic Jews. She experienced several extermination camps including Auschwitz, but she and her sister managed to survive.

Since 1996, she has told her story more than 3,800 times in churches, colleges, universities, and schools. Olsson continues to share her story across North America, educating and sensitizing future generations on the recurring themes of prejudice and racism.

Olsson has received several awards and recognition including honorary degrees, Peacemaker of the Year Award, and United Nations guest speaker.
