Blair Brehaut, active Vankoughnet community member passes away at age 93

Blair Brehaut, passed away on Dec 13th 2017, in his 93rd year at the South Muskoka Hospital after a brief illness. Blair was one of the active proponents of the Vankoughnet Community Center, and remained so until his death. He was the loving and devoted husband of wife, Shirley, and beloved father of his daughter, Brenda, son-in-law Harry and his grandchildren, Lowell, Daniel and Amy and their families and great-grandfather of his namesake, Blair. He retired from the RCMP after 30 years of service, and leaves behind many friends and colleagues. A private family service will be held in the spring at the RCMP National Cemetery at Beechwood, in Ottawa.Photo taken in May 2011 in Cresswell England during the Memorial honouring his brother, Lowell and his flight crew, who all perished in their Wellington bomber on Aug 5, 1944.
