How Can We Protect The Natural Values Of Muskoka?

Post date: Sep 20, 2012 1:14:41 PM

Will the Vankoughnet you know and love still be here in 50yrs?

Peter Sale (seen in this picture) of the Muskoka Watershed counsil gave a thought provoking presentation on Muskoka's Biodiversity, discussing the biological and geological changes that have occurred and continue to occur in Muskoka. Judi Bouse, Anna Mallin and Ian Turnbull from the Muskoka Watershed council also assisted with the presentation. You can find more information and download the full biodiversity report online at: http://www.muskokaheritage.org/mwc/ . Like them on Facebook to keep up-to-date on current information.

We all love the rocks, trees, and clear water of Muskoka, but development,

climate change, and invasive species are threatening our future enjoyment of the area.

How do we work together to ensure a healthy economic future and a natural landscape that

our children and grandchildren can continue to enjoy? Muskoka Watershed Council doesn’t have the answers but we want to start a conversation and explore what governments and individuals can do to live sustainably in Muskoka.

Muskoka's Natural Environment is so good that it is worth fighting for.

Come join in the discussion.
